2008 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS:

* Fully fnding public education;

* $24 million was reserved for school buses;

*The LIFE, HOPE, and Palmetto Scholarship programs were fully funded;

* House Democrats fought hand in hand to provide additional funding for education and infrastructure needs in our communities.

EARLY EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTS:

* As a result of bypartisan negotiations, we successfully secured $10 million to fund K-5 education in SC.
